Celesta learned to read like most little boys and girls. Her mother would do flash cards and even spell out letters/words with cheez-its or abc pretzels. People read to expand their mind , or get their mind off of stressful stuff. People also read because they like to picture the story in their head like a movie. In order to be a good reader you have to be committed to the book your reading and enjoy it. For Celesta using light filters makes it easy for her to read. The hardest thing about reading for her is that her dyslexia makes the words move ,so she cant read a book without her glasses or light filters. Celesta chooses books that relate to people her age or books that have anything to do with cooking or dancing. At home she reads once in a while because extra curricular activities keep her from find the time to read.In general she lloves reading when she finds a good book that will keep her captivated.
