This week is the last full week of School. There a lot of things happening. For our silent sustained reading assignments we are either to read or write a goodbye letter to a teacher who is retiring this year. We also began reading a book called "A raisin in the sun" . Everyday we read it as a class and different people are assigned different parts to read. Along with that we were given music connection sheets , which is a sheet that we fill in with a song and special lyrics that related to "A raisin in the sun". After a couple chapters we stop reading and we listen to a song that relates to what we just read and reflect with our groups on it. So far the story is about how this black family's life is being affected by a ten thousand dollar insurance check from their deceased father. Everyone has their own opinion about the money but they all have different views. Back in the day ten thousand dollars was like a million dollars to them because they were poor and didn't have much money.By the end of this week I hope to understand this book better and end the year off on a good note.
